James Lathos is a director, cinematographer, editor and published writer living in Baltimore, Md.. James holds a technical degree in film production and will be making his documentary debut with HR "Finding Joseph I." James is the founder and operator of Small Axe Films.
Jeff Schmale has been working for over 20 years as a Director of Photography and Camera Operator on Episodic Television, Feature Films, Documentaries, and Commercial Productions. His diverse credits include The Wire, House of Cards, National Spots for Monday Night Football, Geico, Nike, and Music Docs including Pearl Jam Twenty.
He has been recognized in national and international awards for the likes of Jim Beam and Cadillac. In 2010 he and partner Chris Gorman founded 1&9 - a commercial production, still photography and stop-motion animation company.
Rob Parsell is a producer and camera operator with over 10 years experience working in production. His camera work has taken him over much of North America and abroad for documentaries, television interviews, and live concerts. Clients have included, CBS, NBA, BET, and Voice of America.
Dawne Langford is an award winning editor, producer and recent graduate of the prestigious PBS Producer's Academy. Dawne has worked multiple aspects in production for over 15 years with 6 of those years in public media at WHUT-TV/PBS. While at WHUT-TV, Dawne edited and co-scripted programs such as the nationally distributed documentary, "Lens and Pens", which highlights an arts program at the public mental health facility, St. Elizabeth's. Dawne also co-produced and edited "The Jewels" about a girl group from the sixties that became James Brown's back-up singers. Some honors Dawne has received for her work include the Telly Award, Aegis Award, Mental Health Media Award and the Aurora Award Platinum Best of Show.
